In recognition and support of Local News Day (April 9th), a national day of action connecting communities with trusted local news, Bloom Labs will be hosting a series of pop-up events on April 11th and 12th to support newsrooms who serve communities throughout Alexandria. Bloom Labs is an official partner of Local News Day.
In partnership with local news outlets serving Alexandria, the pop-ups will encourage community members to support the outlets, learn about the history of local journalism in the city, and contribute to a participatory artwork about community needs and topics meaningful to them.
